Review: The Face Shop Black Head EX Nose Clay Mask

I purchased this item off eBay for quite a steal while looking for blackhead removal products, it also came with 2 samples of other Korean products! But the listing for the seller I got it off isn't available so I'll link other listings that have free shipping too!

I've always used Biore's strips for my blackheads but I found it kind of complicated to use since once you put it down, you can't remove it and it had only achieved 50% of what I wanted.

When I had the time (and found the product in my mess of a room) I finally got a chance to try it out!

I've seen one of TheFaceShop's store in Sydney but I had never gone inside! But I'm guessing it's a big Korean brand, since it has spread out to Australia.

I hardly read the details on eBay listing so the bottle was smaller than I expected being about 13cm and 50g of product.

"The Face Shop Black Head EX Nose Clay Mask is a peel off mask that is designed for deep cleansing and dissolve blackheads. Contains Mulberry, Coix Seed and black rice extracts, which has anti-aging properties, leaving skin shine with healthy glow, youthful and supple."

How to use:

1. Apply Nose Clay Mask to your nose with full coverage.

Spread it thickly. If you spread it too thin, it couldn’t be work.

2. Wait 10~15 minutes for the mask to dry.

3. Peel it off bottom to top against the skin.

Rinse your nose thoroughly with water.

I love reading information about the product I'm going to use :( Shame.

I washed my hands and began to squeeze it out of the bottle. It was a really thick and sticky texture, it had a floral fragrance with a tinge of some kind of fruit.

I spread 2 thick layers across my nose, I was being a bit paranoid so I think I spread on more than I needed. After applying, wait 10~15 minutes until the entire mask hardens.

Peel it against your skin, top to bottom. Wash your face of any parts of the mask still left over. Peeled off, and lucky for you my camera can't capture all the gunk.

After I peeled it off, as usual, my nose had felt super smooth and all of the blackheads on the very sides and tip of my nose had come off. I surprisingly didn't feel any pain besides the mask tugging from my skin, oppose to the Biore which hurt really really bad! But your experience with it may be different from mine.

Notes:

I took a shower before applying the clay mask to open up more pores and just washed my face with cold water since I don't have a toner or pore minimiser.

Even though the tube is pretty small, I see about 15 uses out of it which is so much more cheaper than using the strips that come 6 in a pack for $5!

Would I recommend this product?

Yes! Just remember to use steam to open up your pores first or it won't work! I think this is an awesome mask compared to the strip ones since sometimes the strip ones still leave the stubborn black heads, using this product you can just go over those stubborn blackheads by spreading the mask over any part of your skin and it'll be gone once you peel it off!

Would I repurchase?

Yes! I looove it and it's so cheap!

KKCenterHK Stamping Nail Art Review

Hi!

I was given a chance by KKCenterHK to try out a stamping nail plate from their store.

I had always wanted to try out these plates!

I received this plate and a stamping kit:

It is a template of tips in horizontal lines, stars, leopard, lines and plaid.

You can purchase this plate from their store here

The nail art stamping tool and plate came in different ziplock bags with a sticker of the company's information.

The three products came new and unflawed.

The metal plate had a clear cover over it.

Stamping using the plates is such an amazing process! The rubber stamp picks up all the nail polish left in the template after its been scraped. During the whole thing you have to be quick though, I took to long taking pictures of it that it dried out on me.

I used false nails to test the plate and stamping tool on.

I started off with using the middle template with stars using Sea Gurl

Not bad.

I decided to use blank false nails instead to stamp the rest.

I'm so excited!!!!

It stamped just how I expected it to.

How much nail polish that was still stamped on depended on the angle that I scraped the nail polish off.

It was pretty tricky to get the hang of at first but yes *success*

I can't wait to buy more!!!!

I just think that the plates should be circular so it could fit in the plate holder things!

Would I recommend this product?

Yes. They have quite a range of plates from their website along with their new plates that have 42 patterns on it each, but only two of the smaller plates were appealing to me.

Would I repurchase?

Yes, but maybe from another place if I can find it cheaper else where. It's really hard to find pretty plates that I want, especially on eBay since it's so tough to win the bids! But I want lots of cutesy plates with flowers, ribbons and lace on them!

Essence Colour & Go Nail Polish in Choose Me! - Swatch + Review

Exactly a month ago I was wandering with my friend around Westfields at Burwood for the first time.

We spent quite a while in Target going through the products in the beauty aisles.

While looking for bargains, I saw a new brand! 'Essence'. I got all giddy going through their nail polishes @ $2.55 each, narrowing down which ones I was going to buy. Their entire range of nail polishes had been completely untouched when I first saw it... I didn't think it'd sell out so fast!

I ended up with 'Choose Me' and 'Make it golden' because I love love love glittery/shimmery nailpolishes! I don't have much of them though. I had previously used Make it golden in my nail art post here.

Well anyway, I finally had a chance to try out Choose Me! And I love it!

Except that I think it's a bit overwhelming on it's own so after adding or applying it differently, I thought it looked much better!

The shade is actually more of a greenish-blue with a slight golden sparkle! No matter how I tried to take the picture, I just couldn't capture the green! It just looks blue. I google imaged it and I dont think anyone else was able to either....

The bottle is pretty small being 0.16 fl.oz which is approximately 5ml

A normal size bottle is usually 14ml so this is pretty small.

The cap for each of the nail polishes from Essence's range has the shade of the nailpolish on it along with the name on a sticker.

Review: L'oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Shampoo and Conditioner

Hi!

After winning a giveaway on L'oreal Beauty Confidential, I received a L'oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss pack which included shampoo, conditioner and conditioning shine spray!

I had received this pack more than a year ago and after finishing my last few bottles of Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner, I was able to finally try it out!

What the product claims to do..

Elvive Nutri-Gloss Shine Shampoo:

"L’Oréal Paris ELVIVE Nutri-Gloss Shine Shampoo penetrates the hair to deliver feather-light, root-to-tip nutrition leaving it thoroughly clean and ultra-shiny all over."

Elvive Nutri-Gloss Shine Conditioner:

"L’Oréal Paris ELVIVE Nutri-Gloss Shine Conditioner instantly detangles hair without weighing it down, restoring shine and vibrancy."

Elvive Nutri-Gloss Conditioning Shine Spray:

"A leave-in shine enhancing conditioner you can use everyday, in a spray that's light and quick to use"

(This product has been discontinued so I won't be doing a detailed review on it, a similiar product to this that L'oreal has just launched is this one I believe)

My take on the products...

Note: My hair is normal, my scalp is dry and I shower every second day because my hair ends up getting oily quick.

Initially, I had been using only the L'oreal conditioner and Pantene for shampoo. The conditioner had a very discreet pleasant scent and was working well on it's own. My hair didn't get oily until midway into the 3rd day since I only applied the conditioner to my ends and I felt like my hair had gotten less tangled making it smoother.

Afterwards, I decided to use the shampoo and conditioner together to see if there would be any changes. After continually using both products every second day, I found that my hair was smooth, less tangled and it had gotten less oily. Along with the plus sides of using both the conditioner and the shampoo, my hair had started to become more stiff and 'straw-like', just how I remember my mum's hair to be which I suppose is the reason for the lack of shine. Occasionally I would use the conditioning shine spray on my ends which smooths out my hair, detangling any knots instantly along with giving a temporary shine.

I didn't think that the shampoo was necessary besides making my hair that little bit more smoother. The conditioner worked fine on its own along with whatever shampoo you would choose to use. I don't believe that the shampoo is 'feather-light' since I don't see any difference in volume.

The product also claims to have 'Proven results' for a 'mirror shine, cashmere touch'.

I think everyone who purchased this item was captivated by the idea of their hair being smooth and having an amazing shine. My hair is definitely smoother but I don't think I would compare it to cashmere and I had found no change in the amount of shine.

Overall, I think this product is perfect for me! It's the first time I've found a product that I've been really happy with! I might drop the shampoo though and use something else since I feel like I don't really need it.

Would I recommend this product?

If you have normal hair like me and you're looking to have your hair become tangle free and smooth, then go for it! But your hair will become more 'straw-like and stiff, I can't really explain the texture. So if you have dry hair this product is definitely not for you!

Would I repurchase?

Yes! Definitely the conditioner. Plus it's affordable! *yay*

Note:

I read from a majority of reviews that putting the conditioner anywhere near the scalp, it'll create itchiness and a dry, flaky scalp. So be aware of that if you're planning on trying out this product!

Also, L'oreal has a whole range of products for different types of hair.
Damaged, Dry, Wavy or Coarse, Coloured and Split ends! But I'm not sure if the other products work just as well.

Blogger Kris Kringle Package Received!

This Kris Kringle was organised by the lovely Melody and Jennifer for bloggers around Australia.

I was super excited to join but was hesitant at the same time because I am the worse gift-giver ever!

But since they had provided categories of what type of presents we would like to recieve.. It made it so much easier! Well I ticked off that I wanted makeup and food/snacks :D

Well this morning the mailman dropped a package at my door step...

It was a box! I knew it was from my Kris Kringle :3

I was so excited to know who my KK was!!!!!!!

After cutting off the layers of tape and reading the card and handwritten message...

Eeee!!!!!!!!!!!! So many cute stuff!

Awwww she wrote a letter! She is most positivelyyyy the sweetest!

And look at that sparkly card! Naw.

As soon as I read the letter I hopped on the comp to look at her blog!

It turned out to be Twee! Awww what a surprise since I recently started following her :)

She had packed quite a few goodies in the box :)

She said that she picked the snacks that she liked most!

The lashes are in such cute packaging, I've never had lashes that looked so natural before :D

Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Blush in 'Flash It': Swatches and Review

Hi!

I recieved an Australis blush in 'Shoot to Thrill' from ABBW but I thought it was a bit too pink for me... But it applied perfectly! It had such a smooth buttery feel!

Since receiving the blush from ABBW I had slowly grown fond of their brand. I never really noticed them, and their image has changed dramatically! I remember they use to have a logo of a little sun... I think their new image suits them and their products so much better!

So when I saw Flash It at Priceline and swatched it.... I was absolutely madly in love!!!!!!

I was a bit hesitant on the pink but once the blushes are mixed together, it turns into such a beautiful shade!

I was contemplating between Flash it and Poser which were both gorgeous but settled for Flash it since it could produce so many shades of my ideal blush!

It comes in plastic snap case packaging with a mirror.

I think it's the perfect size for a blush especially since it has 4 types in it!

Isn't it pretty!! I looks like the prettiest speckled dinosaur egg!

I've decided to label the shades to make it simplier and show you which colours I mixed to achieve the following shades.

I hope you are all having a lovely day spent filling yourself up with delicious food and being surrounded by loved ones!

I've come down with the flu and have been having really odd sleeping patterns.
I ended up sleeping at 5am this morning and woke up at 6.20am since I was coughing so much :(

Yeah not good...

Being awake odd hours leaves me with nothing to do so I've been creating a few miniature things to pass time... This morning, waking up at 6.20am, I made this little felt plush christmas tree. Since it is Christmas :)

This morning I also gave my dad and aunty small gifts for Christmas..

For Christmas I bought my boyfriend a pair of Vans and a belt from Tarocash

And to my surprise he really liked both gifts!

My boyfriend got me a Pandora bracelet!

I was really surprised when he had gifted this to me because I was planning on saving up to buy one for myself! And he added a little present on it for my birthday :)

Barry M Lip Paint in Peachy Pink - Swatch + Review

Hi!

Barry M Lip Paints were $2~3/each on ASOS the other month.

Nearly half price as they're usually $5~7.

My friend was buying a few things off there and got me the Barry M Lip Paint in Peachy Pink!

I really like the sleek matte packaging

The colour is gorgeous in the tube!

I have super dry chapped lips so once I applied this lippy, it just accentuated every bit of it (But what lipstick that I own haven't?... I just have to remember to moisturise my lips before applying any lippie!).

When at first applying it, it was a bit patchy. It took a couple of layers to get it to become even.

Being a 'Lip Paint' it had to be pigmented! And indeed, it was.

The consistency is just the perfect amount of creaminess though.

The shade shows up as a matte warm coral and a slightly pink nude.

I think I look a bit washed out with this lip colour... But I still like it!

The size of the lipstick was definitely a lot smaller than I expected!

If you're looking for a coral/orangey nude then this is for you!

They also have shimmery and frosty lip paints too but the consistency throughout each product (being creamy and pigmented) isn't the same.

As mine was extremely matte, it lacked in being moisturising.

So it is advised that you look up reviews before you buy any other lip paints!

Would I repurchase?

Yes!!! I really want Shocking Pink and Sunset *eek

I definitely should have gotten more shades when the sale was around, but I already have so many pinks!!!

I Got Mail: Coastal Scents Metal Mania 88 Eyeshadow Palette

Yay for Black Friday sales!

I took advantage of Coastal Scent's 50% off sale..... 50% off!!!

That's a massive discount! I purchased the Metal Mania Palette here, the palette is $24.95 and with discount it turned out to be $12.48 USD.

Gerry and I split shipping so we ended up paying ≈$30 each in total! ☺

I've always wanted their palettes, Original in particular but I already have a Manly palette which has similiar shades. I really wanted this one here but the next day when I decided to buy it, it was out of stock :(

The shipping was super fast! It came in a week and a half :)

The palette I purchased has 88 shades which have a 'metal' look to it and are all slightly shimmery!

L.A. Colors Moisture Lipstick in Black Velvet - Lipstick Swatch + Review

Hi!

I purchased an L.A. Colors Moisture Lipstick in Black Velvet from a bargain shop at Parramatta.

I bought it for fun since I've never had a lipstick before and thought $2.50 wouldn't hurt even if it was bad quality..

I saw this brand show up often while shopping on CherryCulture as they have quite a range of nail polishes and eyeshadows!

I was playing with the lipstick before and was in a rush to leave the house that I put the wrong cap on the lipstick which squash it :(

So now it's flat and ugly.

I was copying Lady Gaga's look in a music video:

Don't my lips look teensy! I applied it with a lip brush.

It was so much more pigmented than I expected!

Swatches are riggidy because of my squashed lipstick hehe.

Since it was $2.50 at a bargain store I bet it's less than half the price in America! I've also seen L.A. Colors Lipsticks at many bargain stores, just keep your eye out at the counter!

Also, I only put the smell as a con because I don't like scented lipsticks, they make me feel gross.

This lipstick sort of smells Vanilla-ish... But I can bear it.

In my personal opinion I think that the packaging is tacky. I have another one in this sort of packaging and I ruined the top for that one too!

NOTD: A mix of OPI shades

Hi!

I tried to be a bit artsy the other night and experiment with nail art.... Pastel colours!

I don't have a very good eye for what colours go together so it didn't turn out so well...

OPI in Don't Know... Beets Me!, Do You Lilac It?, Gargantuan Green Grape and Alphine Snow

After many many many layers of nail polish, I succeeded!

But with so many layers came so much time to dry... And little impatient me couldn't wait any longer!

So I took a few nails that were way too thick and just stuck with a solid colour.

I used Pamplona Purple instead of Do You Lilac It? Because it just didn't match!

Yay! And I was much too lazy to do my right hand and just stuck with one shade of Pamplona Purple on all my nails :')

NYX Round Lipsticks Review in B52, Circe, Jupiter, Snow White, Fig, Doll, Thalia, Paris, Power, Spell Bound, Tea Rose and Louisiana

Hi!

I purchased these NYX Lippies quite a while ago and I thought since I have a new camera that takes good quality pics, why not do swatches of them!

I will post lip swatches posts (in bulks of 3-4) over the past few weeks because if I cram them all in one post, scrolling down the page of the post will never end!

I think I purchased each lippy for $4-5 each from Cherry Culture! I chose these shades after extensive searching for swatches, so these were the chosen ones of the many NYX Round Lipsticks :')

I love NYX's packaging! So simple and the precise colour at the bottom is handy!

I got the NYX Round Lipsticks in B52, Circe, Jupiter, Doll, Fig, Snow White, Thalia, Paris, Power, Spell Bound, Tea Rose and Louisiana

Which ones are my favourite?

Circe, Fig, Snow White, Tea Rose and Spell Bound

I dropped Snow White one day and the colour bit fell off!...
Then I figured out how they had such an exact colour and the bottom of the lippie....

Quite clever actually!!!

You can use this part for a lip brush :)
Only some are easy to get off though, I was only able to pull off 7 of mine.

With Snow White on! Look at that strand of hair all up in maa grill

Pros:

- Available in 144 shades

- Affordable

- Pigmented

- Creamy buttery texture

Cons:

-Wears off after 2-3 hours

- Not available in many places in Australia for the cheap price

Other notes...

Every time I use an NYX Lipstick my lips get all chapped :( It's really annoying! I heard their Black Label Lipsticks are moisturising though!

I find that it's a bit too creamy.... way too creamy...
So I always blot it with a piece of tissue after every application!

The scent might bother some people but I'm okay with it.

I have no other way to describe the scent but to say that it smells like grandmas.

If you're ordering from CherryCulture you should Google swatches of people wearing the lippies because the shades on the site are VERY misleading. A great example is my sister who bought a bunch according to the shades on the site and never wears them haha.

Yes! As long as the scent of grandmas doesn't bother you.. And with their wide range of 144 Lipsticks, you're bound to find a shade that suits you.

Would I repurchase?

Well I am kind of eyeing Eros and Penelope but I think I'd want to try their new lippies being moisturising and all! So I guess it depends.. But not any time soon since I've recently made a purchase from them :p

Shipping hurts my pocket too... I guess as long as there's a sale!

I Got Mail: Canon PowerShot S95

Guess what???!

The day finally came...

I got a new camera!!!

A camera that has been on my wishlist for way too long....

I got a Canon PowerShot S95 ♥♥

I've wanted this camera since last year after my 2nd camera died...

But instead I resorted to the Lumix DMC-F3 since I only had $149 in my pocket left after paying for formal and I thought that getting a camera was a higher priority than buying a pair of shoes or a clutch :')

I bought this camera online at eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au for $299 + shipping

This camera retails for $400-500... But if you know me, I am the stingiest little girl alive.

I will not pay full price for an item because I am SURE there is somewhere/someplace out there that's selling it for at least half the price! And there I found eGlobal Digital Cameras.

After I had received my camera I had faced a few issues, the screen protector I received had been the wrong size and the camera charger is absolutely outrageous! It's so loose it's not funny.

I contacted them via chat since there were not emails for me to email to (I'd much prefer emailing over chatting...) They took 25 minutes to reply even when there was no one waiting to chat besides me. And after they had FINALLY replied, they contradicted themselves about my issues and then stopped replying to what I was saying. The customer service of eGlobal Digital Cameras is horrible.

Would I repurchase from this company?

Yes/No. Yes because their digital cameras (and only digital cameras... maybe other capturing devices) are affordable but their accessories are the biggest rip off ever! The case for this camera was $30 on the site where as if I were to buy it off eBay, it would be $10. They overprice a majority of their items so it's better off buying it from eBay!

Also, the shipping is outrageous! When I checked in the beginning of August, the shipping for a camera was $96... then I checked again at the end of August and it was $102. Then I checked a few days ago (Thank god) and it was $47! So I guess the shipping varies....

The issue I have with buying items online on websites like these is that there is no 'feedback' system (like eBay), so they could send you a faulty item and wouldn't care much about your issues if you were to complain!

Beautiful little thing isn't it? :')

Au Reviour Camera #3

We've had a good run...

But I won't miss your faded buttons, the dents on your sides or how you never turned on when I most needed you so It's time to pass this Wrist Strap to a more worthy member :')

The biggest downside to my Lumix was that there was NO focus whatsoever unless it was 20cm away and the flash was blinding! So the Lumix, I reckon, is only good for portrait pictures!

FOTD: Creepy Doll Look

Hi!!!

Ahhhhh last month I told my self that THIS month I'd be doing a Halloween look at the end of every week...

I guess that didn't work out!!!!

So it was the first time blocking my eyebrows the other day.

I attempted it 3 times in one sitting and I failed the 3 times.

The next day I gave it a go again........ And after many layers of glue>concealer>powder>foundation>powder>foundation>powder>foundation>powder>foundation>powder>foundation>powder............... SUCCESS!

I love drawing on eyebrows! Seriously!!!!

I wish I had really light coloured eyebrows so I can shade them in a million times a year!

It was super fun doing this look! I finally made use of my NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk that I recently purchased :) from my Cherry Culture haul here

I just realised what bad a job I did at doing my eyeshadow!

I think I was too excited with everything else ehhe

It was kinda odd too since I had so much eyelid space!!!

Lady Jayne Volume & Length Hair Extensions Review

Hi! How are you all?

Well recently I received two products from Lady Jayne's hair extension range.

1x Length, 45cm 3 pack @ RRP $39.99

1x Volume & Length, 45cm @ RRP $49.99

These extensions are synthetic and are also available in medium brown, golden blonde, dark brown and black. With the use of these extensions, the product aims to provide you with the length and/or volume you desire.

What they say...

"Creating a new style is only a quick 'snap' away with these easy clip-in hair extensions, the perfect solution if you want to vary the colour accents or length of your hair without committing to permanent and expensive extensions."

If you know me, you would know that I am obsessed with my hair! I whinge over every single strand that falls off my head and frown as I watch my hair get thinner and thinner day by day...

By the looks of my hair, I definitely need volume so I thought I would give these extensions a test run!

Maybe these would be the answers to my hopes and dreams!

Lady Jayne 45cm Volume Hair Extensions

The extensions came already curled in an elastic net.

It was actually very practical! It kept the product tangle and mess free

As advised by Lady Jayne:

"Use Lady Jayne solid naturally weaved hair extensions which runs ear-to-ear to pump your hair with extra volume and length."

I've never touched synthetic hair before, I expected it to be rough and become tangled easily but these were completely different!

The curls were gorgeous but I never (successfully) curl my hair,

so I straightened it!

Since they are synthetic, I kept below the limit of 210 degrees when straightening it.

The extensions for volume had so many layers of hair!

It was 30cm in width and had 10 layers with 7 clips to support it

The clips on the Volume extensions were much bigger and sturdier than the ones provided for the Lengthening extensions.

Holding the extensions was definitely heavy, I wasn't surprised considering the amount of layers!

The extensions reached to either sides of my head, I would find that if you had a smaller head this product wouldn't work for you.

Wearing the Lady Jayne 45cm Volume Hair Extensions:

You can definitely see the difference in appearance, and for me... the weight!

It was actually really heavy :(

But I was able to achieve my desired look with these extensions...

If there's no pain, there's no gain right?

Lady Jayne 45cm Length Hair Extensions

The Lady Jayne 45cm Length Hair Extensions came in the same packaging as the Volume one.

There were Three pieces in this pack.

As advised by Lady Jayne:

"Use these extensions to add a bit of volume, to add an under-layer of colour or add several layers to a short haircut. Place lower on the head for length or higher on the head to fill out a ponytail."

Upon opening both products, I noticed that the synthetic hair was really soft! The 'Length' product was much more softer than the 'Volume' one, I'm not sure if there was meant to be a difference in that...

Each clip was 45cms long, 6cms in width and had two small clips!

This product came already curled which I had to straighten.

I clipped these 3 pieces to the lowest layer of my hair.

Looking in the mirror, no difference was made at all!

My hair was much too long.

I was provided with the extensions in Black and it matched perfectly with my hair colour!

I wouldn't know how long these extensions would be sturdy for. Being synthetic and all, I'd expect for it to have not a very long life span.

I've only had human hair extensions before but those died pretty quick.

Lets just see how I go as I keep using the extensions for Volumising!

Pros:

- Packaged in a hairnet for easy storage and to remain tangle free
- Simple to place on hair with the clips

- The extensions are soft
- Four shades available
- Available in two lengths for lengthening extensions, 30 and 45 cms

Cons:

- The weight for the 'Volume' extensions are heavy
- Clips could be a bit larger for the lengthening extensions

Would I recommend this product?
If you're looking for a quick and simple way to add length or volume to your hair, then this product is for you!

Would I repurchase this product?
Well for the extensions for volume I think that it is worth the price you're paying since it comes in many layers but the extensions are a bit heavy and may need a little while to get use to. If they were to come out with a volume range that had 2 separate layers to even out the weight, I think that would be even better... So if that happened, yes I would repurchase this!

As for the extensions for length, I would not repurchase this item. Paying $40 for 3 pieces of 6cm extensions is not worth it at all to me.

Halloween is in 7 days!

One time in year 4, my friends and I went trick or treating on Halloween so we went parading around the block and to our disappointment, no one was giving out any candy!

All we ended up with was a few measly Asian crackers....

I wish lil ol' Australia celebrated it like Canada/America :( Boo hoo

Well after looking at some nail art online, I got inspired to do some of my own!

My pocket isn't too steep, only being a student and all with no job. I would not re-purchase any of these products, as I don't really envy any besides the OPI. So I would buy any of these products if it was a special occasion and...the price range wasn't as ridiculous.

Would I subscribe?

No I would not, I think it's pointless for me to subscribe. I believe the price being $15 a month being worth it but if they're going to send me products like this every month. Swooning over it... then look at the price tag......... I would just be heartbroken. Also, the only make up I'm interested in at the moment are eye makeup, lipstick, nail polish, blush and some other things related. I am not interested in anti ageing products, hand creams or shower gels and all that sort. I want to receive items that are actually useful for me!

Nicki Minaj Inspired Eyeshadow Look + Tutorial

I clicked on Nicki Minaj's twitter page the other day because of her cute little vibrant twitcon.... and was over the moon!!!

I had to try it!

My take:

Twitcon:

Practically twins huh? I'm her asian sister from down under k.

If you watch her music videos she has a new look in practically every scene! I love how bold all her looks are! She's a clever little bean :')

Tutorial

Step 1.

Use a primer all over your lids then apply a white base where you want the turquoise to extend to, preferably up to your crease (I used Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk)

Keep in mind that you should have it even with the length of your liquid liner.. So you don't want it going too far!

Step 2.

Slap on that turquoise! You want to pack it on!

My shade was too light :( I don't have a colour the shade of minaj's

Step 3.

Line your eyes with liquid liner

Step 4.

Stick on some lashes!

I cut my thicker lashes up and piled them up to look more chunky.

Step 4.

Lipstick and we're done :)!

Initially, I used NYX in Power + Sportsgirl Lippie in Fushia Splash

I was really suprised how vibrant it was in real life but in images it was soooo nude-ish!

I had no other lipsticks similiar....

So I thought......

"What would Nicki Minaj do :3?" (WWNMD lol)

So I just grabbed any bold lipstick and used it instead.....

I Got Mail: Archie Comics

Guess what I got in the mail this morning???!!!!!!

Archie Comics!

I've been absolutely in love with Archie Comics since I was a wee little Canadian Phan! I still remember how I discovered it, I was moving a couch at my grandparent's when I was 9 and discovered a comic book... My aunts had said that they had quite a few in their room, my sister and I charged upstairs to check it out and it was like heaven :')

And since then, my older sister had been building our collection up..... then we moved to Australia where we departed with it :'(

I still love them, but I cringe at the price tag that stores put them up for.... In Canada they were approx I'm guessing $3~7 a book... Here they're 7+! And $7 is just for the thin ones....

I've followed Archie Comics on Twitter for a while and after seeing The Best of Archie Comics book go online.... I knew I had to have it! 400+ pages of goodness??! I couldn't ask for anything more :')

I was waiting for the day to reunite all my packages and tear them all open!

I got my Fishpond purchase.... disappointingly, today. A month....? And Fishpond is from Australia. But Free shipping so meh, can't really complain.

Review + Swatches: Ulta3 Nailpolish in Blue Marlin, Mermaid Green, Sunset Pink and Orchid

Hi!

For the past week I've been trying out these Ulta nail polishes from ABBW.

My camera is doing a horrible job at capturing the actual colours of these shades... They're all a lot darker irl!

Consistency of the bunch...

Blue marlin: Royal blue shade

Mermaid green: A more dark/greenish version of jade

Sunset pink: Dark magenta pink

Orchid: Metallic dark purple shade

All of them took 2+ coats to show up besides Orchid!

Orchid is my favourite of the bunch :)

In daylight

My camera has horrible quality :( I can't wait until I save up enough to buy a new one!

2 days later, wearing off without a topcoat

The nail polishes we received are different from the other Ulta3 polishes I've bought.

The lid (?) is different! I quite like it better, even though it's a minor change.

Top row are the older ones, front row are the newer ones!

I've previously done a review on Ulta3 nail polishes before, here

Pros:

* Inexpensive ($2)

* Sold in quite a few places near me!

*Brush makes it easy to apply

*Dries quick

Cons:

* Chips/wears quick

I can't comment on the range of colours they have right now because I haven't checked it out recently.

Overall:

The price you're paying for this nail polish is worth it! It's only $2, it's way less than what you would pay for other nail polishes available in your local pharmacy so why not.

Would I repurchase?

Yes!

FOTD: Smokey Eye + Pinky Paradise Purchase! + Use my code!

Wearing: Geo Tri Color in Green

Three weeks ago I made a purchase off Pinky Paradise since I had lost my other pair of contacts.

The package have 2 weeks later, which was okay.

On my last purchase (blog post here) I purchased two random ones and Geo tri colour in grey. Max Pure Pink and Seashell Cosmo Violet disappointed me! I looked like an alien :(

So I decided to stick with lenses that wouldn't have much enlargement for this purchase just to be safe...

Event - Day 2: ABBW

We started off the day with an Alpha-H seminar where we were generously given a 3 month trial to their Liquid Gold Skin Perfecting System. They did an amazing job at answering and explaining every possible question anyone was to ever have about the product, I was honestly excited to run home and try the product out myself.

The second event was the Face of Australia Masterclass which was held by the gorgeous Tina! Who is a beauty blogger too! I never knew all that time when I was following her blog! Awww

They had throughly demonstrated how to achieve the looks in their lookbook which had started in August! We were able to experiment with these looks with the generous amount of full-sized products they had given us! I had heard many good things about the FOA Eyeliner (example, Tram being distraught about the FOA Eyeliner not being in stores.... hehe), So I knew it had to be good!

Eyeshadows!!! Yayy and mineral blush, bronzer and highlighter!!!!!

They had also given us two lippies, wipes, liquid eyeliner, eyeliner and a little brush set we could use to achieve the looks demonstrated!

I wore this eyeliner on my top and bottom lash line from the class to going home and it had lasted the whole day! I didn't take it off until night time and it hadn't smudged at all! Amazed!!! Really!!!

There was even a little sharpener at the back which was incredibly handy!

The lippy we got, it had a little cover on it :)

Our las event of the day was held by Bahar Etminan from Rescu! It was sponsored by Procter & Gamble. She Bahar Etminan had given us advice and told us of her past experiences in the beauty industry, being ups and downs and how she got to where she is today.

(Why I didn't take a picture of the products? I dont know.)

I'm still in awe that last weekend actually happened :')... And it's over! ABBW was an incredible weekend! All thanks to Jacie and Kimmi, it would have never happened! Because of them, it was an experience I will never forget, I had taken in many tips and advice over the weekend by the keynote speakers and found it very helpful to improve the way I approached blogging. Each and every one of the events were helpful in their own way and it has helped me (and my blog) grow :). It makes me want to blog a lot more, which is awesome. Intially I saw blogging as something I had to do once a week... Kind of like an assignment lol *sigh* But now, I'm really really motivated to blog! Yayyyy!

Wow, that was just a whole blob of thoughts together.... I don't even want to fix that now. lol :(

I can't wait for the next ABBW event! *Counting down the days...

And guys.... this time..... we're getting a hotel....... LOL (@Tezza, Amanda & Tram)

When I got home a pulled out all the goodies we got and I propped them up on my desk......... Wow?

I made my pictures bigger by the way.... because my sister said it's better that way ahaha.

How many lipsticks do you have?

When you were a child, did you use your mother's lipsticks?

No! Considering my mum's reaction to my nails getting painted in year 4... I think if I ever did play with any cosmetics or nail polish of any kind I would have gotten smacked!

How old were you when you bought your first lipstick and what was it?

I actually bought my first lipstick when I first started this blog.... So last year in May :) When I was 17.... Haha. I bought two Revlon Colour burst lippies hehe, two for the price of one!

What is your newest lipstick?

Sportsgirl Lippies in Fruit Tingle, Fushia Splash and Juicy Watermelon. Which were all gifts from Amanda!! She's so sweet aww I love all the colours :)

The most expensive lipstick I have ever bought...

Ummmm....... I think it was the MAC lipstick that I bought purely to get my pictures on photobucket up and running again (as mentioned in this post) :| Haha $18 buckeroonies :)

And the cheapest?

I'm pretty sure it was the BYS and Ulta lippies, which were 2.99... or 3.99 each? I needed a red lippie for a party and I couldn't decide which one to get so I just grabbed every affordable one :p

What's the most bizarre thing you have done with a lipstick? No interesting stories here :( Haha I haven't done anything od with lipstick

If you had to recommend a lipstick, which brand would you recommend and why?

All of my lipstick are similar brands so I don't have much to compare to, so out of the ones I have I would only recommend the Sportsgirl lipsticks as unlike my other ones, their lippies actually last and aren't drying at all.

Pink or red lipstick?

On me, I'd prefer pink! But I'm starting to like red a lot more :) Hmmm... I'm not sure haha

Favourite pink? I can't choose just one, so many!!! I'll choose 2... hehe

It'll have to be NYX in Tea Rose for a light pink and Sportsgirl Lippie in Juicy Watermelon for a bold pink!

Favourite nude? NYX in Circe definitely!!!!!!

Favourite red? NYX in Snow White which is a dark red and BYS in Crimson Joy which is a brighter red :)

Favourite unusual shade? NYX in Power- A sort of Purple-ish pink nude shade and Sportsgirl Lippie in Fruit Tingle which is is a orangey-light pink shade

Favourite dark shade? The darkest shade I have is NYX in Snow White!

Event - Day 1: IMATS + ABBW

Hi!

Over the weekend IMATS and ABBW were on :)

ABBW was held by the lovely Jacie (youvegotnail) and Kimmi (plasticdiaries), with many months they had put into preparation... It was actually happening!!!! They did an amazing job at making this weekend a success!!!! It was the first Australian Beauty Blogger Weekend event ever! So I was super excited to be one of the many 85 beauty bloggers attending.

I spent ABBW with Tram, Tezza and Amanda.

Amanda was only able to come at dinner though because she had work earlier on throughout the day :(

It was awesome meeting Tezza for the first time after knowing her from blogging for a while, I was excited to hang out with Amanda and Tram since we hadn't properly done so... ever!

I got up at 5am, but I wasn't the slightest bit grumpy about my lack of sleep because I was pumped for the rest of the day so that's okay :)

But what sucked was that I forgot my camera at home *dammit* I didn't want to make you all suffer if I took the pictures with my phone.... So I don't have any pictures to post :(

I wish I could have visually invited you all on the trip with me though... Words will have to suffice.

We went for registration at Novotel and afterwards all met outside IMATS. We waited for quite a while so we snapped a few photos.

We proceeded into IMATS and I was so excited! But dissapointed that I hadn't researched earlier on what I should have purchased. I ended up purchasing two brushes, only spent $7!

The brushes were unbelievable cheap!!! I was so amazed!!! Maybe this is how people in America feel everyday when they walk into the beauty section of their stores :)

After a while, Tezza and I decided to take a break and went to relax at the Royal & Langnickel suite they had restricted only of ABBW members, aww it was such a nice little place where we could drink, snack and have a little chat :) We could have even gotten our nails done there! I really wanted to get mine done but I had no credit so I would have been lost if I did so... haha

I looooveeee orange juice! Yum yum yum.

When leaving the suite, we were given a bag..... I opened it up and I was super excited to find out that it was a Royal & Langnickel Green Line COMPLETE Brush Set!!!! It had an interesting cover :) Made of corks kinda.

The brushes were so soooooffffttt!!!! All of them!

We went to wander around and check out the stalls again..... And saw Pursebuzz a few metres away... All of us were completely shocked! Omgg she was sooooo tall and gorgeous!!! We went up to chat to her and have a photo and she gave us all the cutest bows! She has the moooost adorable accent ever and she's so kind! ..... I think I can write an essay about her but lets stop here.

After IMATS, we went back to Novotel for a seminar by Beauty Directory. They had introduced us to Trishave and Pure Therapy and had given us generously given us samples for each. I think it was interesting about the amount of information they had provided to us about it! After hearing it, I just wanted to try it straight away. There was also a panel where they gave us their tips on how to deal with PR's, which I thought was quite interesting!

Trishave is a shaving range which produce a range of products for both men and women. Their products are beneficial for sensitive skin and are used to sooth and soften the skin and prevent ingrowns. I thought it was interesting that there was SPF included in the products which are to be used after shaving. I was surprised cause I had never seen their products before! But I am eager to try it out :)

We were also given Pure Therapy samples, they create products for hair and skin care which are also used for skin conditions and sensitive skin.

Upon leaving, they have given us a white bag with a white box..... And I wonder what was inside :)

Aww I love it! It has a grip and double sided mirror which is a close up on one end :)

It even had 'beauty directory' on it, which I thought was pretty cool :)

After the seminar we had a few hours of spare time then had gone down to Establishment for the Dinner hosted by Maxted Thomas :)

Tram and I were luggaging a tonne of goodies around, I still had bruises on my shoulder and arms on Monday but it was well worth it!

Tezza had gone home as she wasn't feeling so well which was a shame :(

Amanda came after work, but Tram left half way through the event due to an unfortunate event :(

I really have no other pictures of the event..... But it was awesome! There were so many brands there, we were given many products (which I cannot wait to try!) And the dinner was a great way to end the night!

Tutorial: Purple + Green Eyeshadow Look

Hi!!!!!!

Only a week away from ABBW, awww I'm so excited :'))))

I saved up some money (including selling my defqon ticket) to spend some mulla there!!!

Well Monday I have an assignment due, I finished it all off today! I'm so proud of myself :) So I decided to play with some makeup yayyy. And again, I wanted to try out green eyeshadow! (And hopefully not fail this time...) After an hour of slapping colour on my face............. success!!!!!!

I'm really happy with the results... Between doing it, I was thinking ughh I look like a clown again :(... but I kept going... And lashes really do make a difference! :)

The results! Yay :)

So while I was going along, I took photos of each process hehehehe just to help a brother out ya know.

Now I shall begin the tutorial! (I hope this helps...!)

Step 1. Put on a base. I used Australis Concealer in Dark all over my lids up to my brows

Step 2. Choose a dark purple (I used a purple shade from NP Set... crushed to bits :'))

(2nd to the right)

Using your eyeshadow brush, start from the outer corners of your eyes and brush inwards!

Step 3. With a lighter purple... (I used a purple shade from NYX for your eyes only in Mysterious Brown Eyes)

(bottom on the right)

Brush this shade from the inner corners upwards (in line with the dark purple shade)

Step 4. Using a greeny jade colour (I used a NYX for your eyes only in Mysterious Brown Eyes)

(Bottom, second last)

Using your brush, brush it on the bottom 1/3 of the eyelid

Step 5. Use the dark purple eyeshadow from before to blend in the green and purple together

(I also used this step to darken the crease!)

Step 6. Go over the purple parts of the eyelid with another purple shade.. I used a maroony-purple colour and went over the top half and outer corners of the eyelid

Bottom right!

Yay! Almost done...

Step 7. Line your eyes! (I used Revlon Colourstay Liquid Liner)

Step 8. Fill in those brows!

Step 9. Lashes!!!!!!!

Welcome back Spring!

The weather has been......................... really random lately

One moment it's sunny, next it's raining....... :s

This post was meant to be posted on the first day of spring... but my posts got a bit delayed and heh...

Well, I'm so glad I got my assignments over with... 4 down........13 more to go. Comforting aint it :( haha

Tonight is the first night in many that I am actually doing nothing... giving myself a much needed rest from all that thinking (and playing facebook games...)

This year for fathers day I tried not to depend on being so materialistic.... Like we bought him a massager and a few ties before...

I wanted to get him something he'd like and use everyday!

And plus, I was broke hahha

So I was searching all over stockies (specifically) for a mug with a tie on it.... Couldn't find ANY at all. omg :(

So after looking in multiple stores, we decided to get him some nuts (who doesn't like pistachios??!!!) and fill a jar full of it :) along with making a card

We walked past cotton on and saw 10 dollar polo shirts so why not!!!!

Btw our diaries were only $3... and they look good on the inside too!!!! heeecccticccc

I was excited for all the delightful treats I was planning on finding....

I tried curling my hair but I turned into crazy cat lady and it went down by the time viv picked me up (thank god) LOL

After prancing down the street multiple times we resorted to... maybe some not so asian food!

Gozlemes i dont know how to spell it, and fishballs! I got it for free yay for free food :3

I've always intended on trying out the fishballs from superdish, and i finally got to!

They were delicious but the chili-ness was overriding the delicious-ness of the fishballs and my whole mouth was burning :(

We decided to check out Crispy Crepes

It had the cutest walls and decor put up!

Candles making it unnecessarily intimate.

After maybe 15 minutes of waiting, the food FINALLY came. and they made me the wrong one... So I had to wait even longer :(

Well viv got hers and the crepe was massive!!!!!

Looks like a bouquet.... I think I just won a pageant :') I don't know what to say... I never thought this moment would come :') I'd like the thank my family, my friends, and all my supporters out there, thank you!!!!!!!

Well I finally got my food and we chowed........ It wasn't as good as I picture it to be inmy mind. It was just the complete wrong mix of flavours.... mayo..... sweet corn.... sausage....cucumber..... I don't know, it was too sweet to me! Viv didn't like hers either :(

I'm trying out the new blogging interface atm.... it looks all so........ spacious LOL

M'n'm Cookies & a Sleepover :3

Hiiii!

Still procrastinating, making another post hehe

2 weeks ago was my friend's bday!!!! So i decided to make her something sweet and picked out a box with mnms!!!

My boyfriend did the gooey bit of the work... I just did the cute bits :3 hehehehe

At first I was stingy and put 1 mnm on each cookie then at the end ended up with WAYYY too much so i just squash everything else in LOL

The unbaked ones look so much cuter than the baked ones :(

Initially I was completely lost on how I was going to package to cookies! I was thinking of making cupcakes at first but that would have been even more complicated... I bought a whole bunch of crafts stuff from golo and bought a mini tissue box hahahaha planning on using the tissue box to put the cookies in after wrapping it...

Then I told my friend of my plan and his mummy gave me a coffee jar to use NAW yay!!!!!

So I decorated it with wrapping paper and tissue and some cardboard I found and slapped it on, topped it off with a green bow which is her favourite colour :p and was a lil haps chaps!

It was a cupcake... because I was meant to make cupcakes :(

With a green bow I cut out from one of my jewelery boxes hehe :3

I baked around 50+ cookies and chose the best 15 to put into the jar :) hehehehe

After I finished everything, I popped by my friend's house and gave her the goodies :3 I was so glad about how happy she was! There aren't many people who would be so happy over the smallest efforts :') NAW

The following Wednesday, I went to her house after tafe and stayed over!!!

I love her room, it's so pertsy and errthangs!!!!

She has an slr :( makes everything so clear and not so pretty things pretty!!!!!!! jellz

Time has been going by so slow! It feels like I've already been at tafe for a month..... haha which is not a good thing :( The other night I went to a 1920's themed party!

I've been aching to play with eyeshadow so I was eager to get ready :3
